CUSTOM SHOP: CUSTOM GARMENTS

Everything starts with a conversation. At your consultation, you will meet with the designer and discuss what it is that you would like made. As the customer it is your responsibility to have carefully thought through your design and to convey your desires to the designer. Helpful things to bring with you might include pictures, sketches, fabric swatches, color samples, notions, inspirational items, etc... All of these will help with the design process. 

At this time, your questions will be answered and price discussed.

The first step required for any custom garment, is starting with a solid fit block. A basic block, simply put, is a basic pattern, drafted to the wearer's measurements, and is the foundation upon which any custom garment design is constructed. Below are the basic block patterns offered:

Basic Bodice Block

Basic Sleeve Block

Basic Skirt Block

Basic Pant Block

*** These block sets MUST be completed for any from-scratch custom designs, to ensure proper fit to the customer, and are priced separately. 

*** Block sets may be drafted independently for home sewers interested in having their own block sets for personal use.
